2-Hour Parking Limit To Be Enforced

For the last 10 years, all Downtown public parking lots have had a 2 hour parking limit policy. However, for those who watched, waited, and took their chances on a ticket, it became apparent that the southern half of the parking lot at the corner of Jackson and High Street was exempt from time limits and ticketing. This is all about to change.
Ownership questions and prior parking space commitments the southern half of the lot, prompted Code Enforcement to cease ticketing. Through an inter local agreement, the City will once again begin enforcing 2 hour parking time limits.
This agreement was prompted by complaints from business owners that students and Downtown employees were occupying parking that was intended for customers, creating short term parking issues.
