Minnetrista Farmers Market

May 5-October 27, 2012 - Orchard Shop Parking Lot, Corner of Minnetrista Blvd and St. Joseph St.

Farmers Market at Minnetrista outdoor market opens May 5th

Visit Farmers Market at Minnetrista for locally grown produce, meats, eggs, and cheeses. You will also find fresh flowers, baked goods, honey, and much more! Farmers Market at Minnetrista features more than 80 vendors.

Schedule:
May:
Saturdays, 8 a.m.–Noon
Located outside in the Orchard Shop parking lot.

June–October:
Saturdays, 8 a.m.–Noon
Wednesdays, 3:30–5:30 p.m.
Located outside in the Orchard Shop parking lot.

Cooking Demos - Last Saturday of each month, 9 a.m. Canning Demos - Second Saturday of each month, 9 a.m.

Orientation Tours Downtown

June 4-July 13, 2012 - Downtown Muncie

Here is the latest info from Ball State and Downtown Development regarding Freshman Parent Tours Downtown.  This will be the seventh year that MDDP and Downtown Volunteers will host the parents of incoming freshman students.  If you are interested in helping to guide a tour Downtown, please contact Cheryl Crowder @ cheryl@downtownmuncie.org

Program: June 4th through July 13th. No programs the week of June 25th, and no program on July 4th.

Day 2 Dates (Tuesday-Friday) Downtown Tours: June 5th -8th, June 12th –15th, June 19th –22nd, July 3rd & July 6th, July 10th –13th. No programs the week of June 25th.

Times: 10:30 a.m. pick up in front of Arts & Journalism Building (AJ) on McKinley.
  12:00 (noon) pick up downtown and return to Student Center on University Ave.

**Please note that we will be increasing the number of students to 210 per day which means there will be quite a few additional family members attending.

Last Year’s Statistics:
• 98% of commuter families who attended found downtown session to be extremely helpful where as 99% of residential families found downtown session to be extremely helpful
• Last year we saw approximately 3,788 students and 5,018 family members
• Last week of program statistically, overall, has lower attendance

Leaders & Training:
• Artist Within: Wednesday the 30th. 6:15 to 8:30 p.m.

Welcome Week
• Vendor Fair: Saturday, August 18th from 6 to 8 p.m. in Rec Center
• Move-in occurs Wednesday the 15th and Thursday the 16th
• Classes begin August 20th

• Homecoming: October 13
• Fall Break: October 22-23

Ages 13-18

Session 1: June 19, 21, 26 and 28
Session 2: July 10, 12, 17 and 19

3:30-5:00pm

Cost $125 per student including materials

Each student will have 1 piece of completed artwork displayed at Gallery 308 on Main Street during our student show in August.
